Our firm has experience in advising and managing large-scale construction projects and handling resultant disputes. We have advised on construction contracts, including drafting and review. We have handled disputes relating to construction projects before arbitration tribunals and the national courts.
- Represented several clients, mostly construction companies in disputes relating to construction Road and buildings, liquidation of guarantees, application and consideration of extension of time under FIDIC contracts, payment of liquidated damages. Payment for certified works on quantum meruit basis. We are experienced in contracts under JCT form contracts.
- Represented a regional Chain of supermarket and successfully challenged the unsustainable redevelopment of a shop mall beyond the original designs.
- Represented landowner in in court in compensation claims under the compulsory acquisition scheme, in road construction projects.
- Advised communities affected by construction of water dams. We have successfully litigated and negotiated for compensation of persons whose land was affected by water dams.
